Tathagata to Tathata was quite a bit of a run around for Marpa.
Having heard of Naropa in Nepal, he set off in search of him after handing over the PTP to the dubbawallah's dada whom he trusted implicitly. Rather whose diligence to duty demonstrable deliverer's efficiency and efficacy he trusted and so he set off without tarrying long in search of Naropa who was esteemed to be the best since the Tathagata.

And when Marpa finally met up with Naropa he was most disappointed because. . .

but that is another journey. . .
