Mohandas K. Gandhi's journey from a man obsessed with nightsoil and nutrition, as to get called mahabangi, to a mahatma who liberated his people from the imperial colonialism was a journey of self-discovery utter hilarity [with the benefit of hindsight!]
and great hyperbole.
Only a person who made the journey under his own steam could have possibly made so many mistakes and miss-takes which no doubt set back the date of delivery into democracy but that is as we say:
part of the territory!
He was searching for a new idiom and metaphor to talkback to his tormentors and the journey went through the dirttracks and backtracks of the hitherto unknowns.
But the main message to mankind has been missed because of this ostensible ostentatious focus on the PARTICULARITIES OF HIS PECULARITIES INSTEAD OF THE GENERALITIES OF HIS GENIUS.
